Hello, I am Shannan!

I am a 32-year-old wife of 11 years and a proud mother of two. As the eldest of four sisters and daughter of a hardworking single mother, family is at the heart of everything I do. In my free time, I enjoy reading, gardening, and creating meaningful moments with loved ones.

In 2021, I took a step forward in my career by earning an Associate’s Degree in Business Management, followed by a degree in Digital Marketing. While in college, I worked as a student employee at Western’s Student Place of Action, Culture, and Empowerment (The SPACE), where I helped transform it into a welcoming environment for students. I also managed its social media presence, creating graphics and scheduling posts through Adobe Express for Instagram and Facebook, ensuring timely recognition of national and international events.

Dedicated to student advocacy, I served as the Parliamentarian for Student Government during the 2024-25 school year, ensuring student representation and well-being. In February 2025, I traveled to Madison, Wisconsin, to meet with lawmakers and advocate for increased funding for technical colleges. That same evening, Governor Evers announced a $60 million budget allocation aligned with our request. Additionally, I participated in the Democracy Fellowship with the Campus Vote Project, a nonpartisan initiative promoting student voter engagement.

My journey has been defined by leadership, advocacy, and innovation. From creating inclusive spaces to influencing policy change, I am passionate about community empowerment and strategic growth. With a strong foundation in business and digital marketing, I look forward to opportunities where I can continue making an impact through marketing, leadership, and advocacy. The best is yet to come!

Best Regards,

Shannan Rowan
