Here are some of the most meaningful projects I worked on during my time at The Student Place of Action, Culture, and Empowerment. Through these experiences, I grew as a leader, learned how to organize events, and helped create a more inclusive space for students. I had the chance to work on initiatives that promoted cultural awareness, advocacy, and student empowerment, making a real impact in the community. Each project challenged me to think creatively, plan effectively, and bring people together for a shared purpose. Looking back, these experiences have shaped how I approach teamwork, leadership, and creating positive change.
Social Media – Employee Spotlight
To help the students of Western know who works in this department, interviews were conducted and displayed on Instagram for students to read. This series had a great number of engagements as their coworkers cheered them on, highlighting how important these faculty members are to the Western Student Community.

Life Resources
This project required researching all the areas of the Western Technical College service area and find free resources for students to use in addition to being able to access the Student Resource Request form at the same time. These sheets are currently being utilized inside of the Cavalier Cupboard for students to take at their discretion.
WisCORE
During my time at TheSpace, it was my honor and privilege to join faculty members and fellow students to a transformative conference dedicated to promoting student belonging on technical college campuses. This is important for students because Western’s campus is more diverse than the actual city of La Crosse, creating a need for emphasis on student belonging as it correlates directly to student success. Not only did I get to take part in the conference in 2023, it was my honor to take part in a Student Led panel, talking about how at Western we use student voice in many decisions and advocate for fellow students as student leaders at the 2024 conference.
Below is a short video explaining the significance of this event for students, by students.
